' There lies a space between Art and Architecture. This exhibition explores this space. It is about the process of making. Historically Art and Architecture were married (da Vinci, Michaelangelo). They have been separated. Artists over here and Architects over there. It is an insecure place in which to be. This merging and placement give meaning. This meaning and placement for me is about the possibilities of a healing space and an art that lies between the lines. ’

BETWEEN THE LINES
Between the lines of an Agnes Martin,
Between the lines of intricate grids,
Between the lines of architectural plans,
Between the lines of borders of lands.
Between the lines of a Mondrian,
Between the lines of a venetian blind,
Between the lines of night and day,
Between the lines that show The Way.
Between the lines of a grey Frank Stella,
Between the lines of parking lots.
Between the lines of ‘On The Road’,
Between the lines written in code.
Between the lines of a green Brice Marden,
Between the lines of curves -
Between the lines of golden corn,
Between the lines of those who mourn.
Between the lines of a Barnett Newman,
Between the lines of lightning -
Between the lines of shadow and mirth,
Between the lines of Heaven and Earth.
Between the lines of stars and sea,
Between the lines - you’ll find me.
Between the lines of a Nebraskan-blue sky;
Between the lines is where I lie.
